Flat Fee MLS: Why Not a Real Estate Agent?
Flat Fee MLS March 28th, 2008When you’re getting ready to sell your home - whether you’re looking to relocate for work, you need more (or less) space or you just want to be sure that you are able to get away from the stress of trying to make your mortgage payments each and every month - flat fee MLS is a great option.
Why flat fee MLS rather than selling with the help of a real estate agent?
There are many great reasons, but of course the biggest reason to sell with flat fee MLS rather than a traditional real estate agent is the savings. Rather than paying a 3% commission to your listing agent (in addition to a 3% commission to the agent who brings a buyer to the property), you’ll be able to simply pay a low flat fee to add your home to the MLS.
Beyond that, of course, the advantages that you will find when you sell with flat fee MLS are similar to those that you will discover when you sell entirely on your own: you get to set the schedule, you get to be in charge of the paperwork. The only difference is that you still get the advice that you need to sell effectively.
Why try to sell without the right resources? With flat fee MLS, you don’t have to work with an agent, but you’re not on your own either.
