When you are listing your home, you already know that one of the most important things that you can do is to allow people to see inside. But what about those who cannot make it to an open house?
With a virtual tour, you will be able to show faraway buyers you home - just as if they were inside.
Use a virtual tour to show prospective buyers the outside and indoors of your home. Showcase your home’s best features. Let prospective buyers “walk through” your home - all from the comfort of their current home or office.

Expect this tool to become more popular in 2007
Call it virtual voyeurism: By August 2006, 51% of all Internet users had taken a virtual tour of a piece of real estate, according to the latest release from the Pew Internet & American Life Project, up from 45% in November 2004.
You can expect in increase in these numbers in the next couple of years. Virtual tours will soon be an absolutely essential point of marketing for sellling your house online. If you want to hit buyers where they need to be hit to make that decision, a virtual tour will be the one thing that will give you the edge over other home sellers.
In fact, if you want potential buyers to come and look at your house, you will have to get them to take a virtual tour, then they are more likely to contact you.

Even if you link them from YouTube
Yesterday, we ran a short blog post regarding a woman who sold her house on YouTube. Well, actually, it wasn’t her house. It was her client’s house. She was a real estate agent.
Our suggestion was for you to list your house on IHS Realty and run your video on YouTube, linking it to your IHS profile. That’s a good strategy. You can even add a virtual tour onto your IHS Realty listing for just $149.
In today’s marketplace, you’ve got to stand out. So stand out in a big way. Really, stand out in a big, big way.

Never have real estate sellers received so many benefits for so little a cost
(Source) "When virtual tours appeared in the late 1990s, I thought we’d been sold a bill of goods. Then I said it would be good for relos, then for buyers under 50," said John Duffy, broker/owner of Duffy Real Estate in the Philadelphia area. "Now, I think they’ll work for everyone."
John Tuccillo, an industry consultant who was chief economist of the National Association of Realtors in the mid-1990s, said real estate agents and brokers have adapted "admirably" to technological change, "in that they are quickly adopting the personal and business technologies that they need to service the market."
When you list your house with IHS Realty, you get your own web page with 16 photos to help sell your house. When you purchase the IHS Platinum plan, you also get a 5-scene virtual tour. There is no better bargain anywhere in the real estate industry. Just take a look at all the benefits you get with IHS Realty plans and you’ll be impressed. Other agencies don’t give you so much for as low a price. Even other online flat fee services can’t compare with IHS Realty. The benefits are enormous.

Saving thousands in equity, while maximizing marketing potential seems to be the motivating factor for home sellers that enlist the services of a flat fee MLS broker. Savvy home owners have quickly come to realize the valuable savings advantage offered by these types of flat fee MLS service providers and discount realtors. Flat fee MLS and discount providers offer the same exposure through the MLS and public websites as any traditional agent with the only difference being, homeowners maintain complete control over the showing and contract negotiation process. With flat fee MLS, customers are afforded the same ancillary services such as home warranties, virtual tours, open houses, and broker assistance (usually available for an additional fee.)

Photos, Searches and Mapping Important Tools to Online Buyers
91 percent of respondents to a recent survey conducted by Prudential Realty agreed that they most enjoyed using the Internet for their home search because "it saves time."
